The Best Episodes Yet!

I watched the entire Degrassi saga starting with DJH over a period of 4 weeks. I watched the movie today, and I loved it. When I first started with DJH I liked the old school feel and the after-school-special nostalgia. The stories were pretty simple. By the end of DJH I was a full fledged fan, and knew all the character's stories and issues. Somethings really surprised me. Then I got in DH and I was captivated by the drama especially the "Bad Blood 1&2" episodes. I didn't think they would really give Dwayne AIDS. The high school part of the series had me hooked.

The film was good but I felt like Wheeler got a bad deal. I felt so sorry for him I almost cried, I was pissed at him too for running away, stealing from Joey's mom, giving his grandma a hard time and all the stuff he did in the past. He just seemed like a really unhappy guy after his parents died. Maybe the writers could have given him a brighter future.

Snake was really trippin! I think he was sexually frustrated and that kinda fueled his bad attitude. When he called Wheels car "a piece of sh!t" I paused the movie and laughed for about 10 minutes. I just couldn't believe all the drama, and then when he said to Joey "You spent all summer dating Catlin and *beep* Tessa" I literally jumped out of my chair. Did that actually air on Canadian TV? Degrassi is the show that kept it real! I mean really real. Because sometimes you don't get a happy ending but life goes on.

I wish I had seen the unedited version at the time because PBS in the States only shows it edited. I also don't like that the Abortion episode's ending is edited for U.S. audiences as well...it's not even remotely that bad. Caitlin dropping the F-bomb is definitely one of the most epic moments in Canadian TV history.
