Color problem Help Please! :)

Hey guys,I just got my hands on the copy of this sweet game.
It's like this...
The instllation goes normal,although during the installation process the screen is mixed with crazy colors,and the directions are barely visible.So,after I install it,it starts a-okay,but the animations and some effects are corrupted(funny colours,can't explain it better)Like where you should have black/brown,you have pink/white.
Is it some kind of a problem with my graphics card?
I have a Radeon X850,and I'm using Windows Vista system.Everything else runs ok,it's just the freaky colors....Is there a patch to fix this?

No need.solved the problem by modifying the compatibility on the desktop.Made it compatible with Windows 98/Windows ME,and I switched off every other graphic possibility-and I need to run it in 256 colors and 640x480 resolution.
Great game,can't stop playing it!

Probably Vista was the cause of this, as I don't have such problems on XP. Well, have a good trip with this one.
