Not good.

I love hockey movies but this one... no. Somehow it didn't touch me really, except maybe at the end - I thought they skated pretty badly at the beginning - even extras and town people didn't impress me with their skating skills which should be superb if they skate every day... Even professional players don't skate every day! (or do they?) And all skating scenes were filmed in a sort of boring way. I didn't really empathise with the characters nor did I feel a part of the action. The whole movie seemed really unrealistic - and the soundtrack was inappropriate, too sleepy and slow - What a disappointment, really. I'm glad I only rented this movie. Also, it said "comedy" - but it wasn't that funny.

If you want to see a nice uplifting hockey movie see "Miracle" or even "Mighty Ducks"! I'd also recommend "The Cutting Edge".

Professional players not only skate everyday, they skate sometimes twice or three times daily.

I love this movie, in spite of its flaws. Miracle is better, but I still have a soft spot for this movie.
