I remeber that they were going to make one but then they changed their mind because they thpught nobody wanted it

They said there's definitely going to be another Monkey Island game someday anyway, but not right now. For a great website visit www.worldofmi.com. It has all that a Monkey Island fan could want, including comics, news, interviews, walkthroughs and downloads.

Maybe if Monkey Island was tweeked a wee bit so instead of being about pirates it was instead a science fiction game set during some kind of interstellar conflict between, oh I don't know, a big empire and some kind of alliance of rebels, and wasn't a awesome adventure game but a lame action game, then maybe LucasArts would be interested.

I read the new Sam and Max game was 85% complete before LucasArts pulled the plug, leaving many of its staff to resign and set up Telltale Games (http://www.telltalegames.com/) who now have the rights to Sam and Max and are bound to be more willing than LucasArts to make a new Monkey Island game, if they could get the rights to that franchise as well!

Let's hope they do!!!

Sadly, No, they wont make it. Maybe one day you'll see a fan-made MI5, but don't expect anything from Lucas anymore .....

It's been 8 years already since the 4th one was released and the creators have stated that they won't even likely be able to consider this venture until 2015. Sadly, I don't see this one happening. It's too bad though. I know it would be profitable for them.
