I'M BEGINNING TO THINK THAT IT'S BECAUSE OF THE MUSIC...

THAT NO MORE DVD SEASONS ARE COMING OUT.I hate it when this happens. If a show uses a song,it should already be in the contract about how much the artist will get for it's use in the original airing and video releases. It's the fans that have to suffer for greed and lack of forsight on both parts of the makers of the show and the music artist.

I have always wondered about "why", but came to the same conclusion the other day; having to pay for music rights is more costly than what they'd likely make on the DVD releases for a "cult" show.

Look at what happened with the terrible 'Tour Of Duty' DVD release in the US (the recent UK release was thankfully okay) with "replacement music" in a show that couldn't rely MORE on it's licensed soundtrack for appeal!

The fact that DVD rights do not equal VHS/video rights is laughable and silly; clearly a "loophole" to line pockets a second time. Then again, greedy copyright holders/music labels are what's running the world/internet these days.

That happened with Fastlane too. I think they finally reached a deal and was able to put the series out but it took so many years that nobody cared when it was released. Good thing I taped every episode.
