I actually want a DVD of this film

When I first saw this FRIDAY THE 13TH rip-off, I thought it was really bad, but I found it extremely entertaining what with the 80's hair, bad acting, sherriff who screams like a little girl, etc. But there was something really creepy about it and I thought that the zombified killer Matthew was kinda cool. The annoying thing is that the video has horrible lighting and it is hard to see many of the key scenes, so I had to turn up my brightness level very much.

I came on IMDB and looked up TWISTED NIGHTMARE before, and apparently, it had a DVD edition. But when I looked it up, they had confused it with another film called ANCIENT EVIL (a title which TWISTED NIGHTMARE was going to be called instead).

Personally, I think this film should be out on DVD for those of us who found it reasonably entertaining and wish to see it without having to turn up the brightness on our TV sets. I wouldn't expect much in the way of special features but if a trailer could be dug up, that would be neat.

Anyone else kinda-sorta want this film on DVD?

I'm an early 1980s slasher fanatic, so the answer is YES! I've never seen this movie but even if it's bad I'll like it. I mean I also enjoyed "The Prey" and "Don't Go In The Woods", so there ya go

reply

hahaha I liked those movies too. I own THE PREY, and rented DON'T GO IN THE WOODS. But yeah, I can see some company like Brentwood releasing this in a collection of cheap horror films, like they usually do, or the same company that released THE FINAL TERROR on a bare-bones DVD recently. I wouldn't care about features. I just want this movie to be available in a higher-quality presentation than the super dark VHS edition (which, as a bit of trivia, originally cost 75.95 haha).
