Just found out Matt Damon has an IQ of 163

He has an above genius level IQ, I never knew that until recently.

I agree, that is odd… I’m just settling down to re-watch this, followed by Synecdoche, New York (2008), in my quest to find Philip Seymour Hoffman’s best performances, and in the corner of my living-room is a standard lamp, which is managing to do a perfectly good modern-day impression of Jude Law (although I will concede he was good here), without any difficulty at all…

Seems like a lot of big name actors have super high IQs

I'd guess it's consistent with their ability to convincingly lie for a living (in a non-cynical way)

Acting, doing so effectively and convincingly, takes incredible effort and discipline

I'm reminded of Evan Rachel Wood going from weepy to robotic in "Westworld," when her character is told to "enter analysis mode" or "reduce emotional affect"

It's like the celebrity who claimed to have bought a solid gold crib for the new baby, when they could get just as much publicity by spray-painting a regular crib. Who's going to check on it?

He hides it very well.

Possibly, a better actor than I gave him credit.
