Mother Hallucinations

I was never sure how much of Sid's mother's voice/appearances were hallucinations and how many were actually the killer. I guess the one vision of her at Sid's window may have been the only actual hallucination.

I guess you guess right. I'm thinking that the killer (Roman) wouldn't travel all the way from Hollywood, California to Sidney's hideout just to scare the bejeezus out of her then travel all the way back again.

Um...It's a nightmare.

Ok, then it was a nightmare that I guess she woke up from after she saw her mother at the window. Thinking about it from the perspective of the writer and/or director, I think they put that scene in there to make you second guess if Sidney was hallucinating some of the mother stuff; her mom's voice on the phone and the bloody sheet speaking to her in her mother's voice. When I was watching for the first time, I really had no idea who the killer was, although I guessed one of the killers early on in Scream 2. I thought there was a possibility that in this one they would imply that she herself was doing it or that she had lost it a little bit. Once they found the publicity pic of her mom in Hollywood, I thought the killer probably had some connection to her mother or the past, but it could've been a red herring, too. They definitely did that in the first movie with the boots that the killer wore, they would do intentional quick close ups on the cops feet to show that they wore similar boots etc.
