Yes, this movie is very sad indeed. A list of all the sad things.

SPOILERS

Tommy in his closet, holding Stu's slipper, singing himself to sleep with tears in his eyes. That scene always breaks my heart. :(

Phil and Lil yelling at Tommy, telling him that he can search for Dil by himself, and Chuckie saying no when Tommy asks for his help, and Tommy sadly walks away. :(

Tommy having enough of Dil and threatening to give him to the monkeys.

Tommy singing to Dil and saying that soon they'll be home and until then he'll protect Dil.

Spike falling off the bridge with the wolf and they all start crying.

I was also a little teary-eyed when they were found. It was a nice scene, so that scene was happy tear scene.

Also it was sad because a bunch of sweet little babies get lost in the large forest with a wolf on the loose. It's a heartbreaking movie. I knew that everything was going to turn out okay, but it was still depressing.
