This movie ruined Rugrats

Am I the only one who noticed that Rugrats started going way down hill after this movie came out? It used to have so much heart and was really smart, but the last few seasons were pretty unbearable. Did they get new writers or something?

Looking back on it I'd have to agree. I absolutely loved this film when I saw it, but I do remember being disinterested in it after the show commenced with all the new characters. It didn't get bad until after Rugrats in Paris, still a really fun film, but the show after that wasn't nearly as interesting or inventive as it once was. The addition of characters that we barely got to know wasn't really the smartest move. It only aided in distancing us from what we used to love.

Don't even get me started on the Rugrats growing up .

Even when I was little I remember thinking it was kind of weird/annoying that they kept introducing new characters, but I didn't notice much of a decline at the time. If I watched them again now though, it'd probably be really obvious. I do also remember as a kid thinking the show was really different after the first movie.

Big Gay Al, it has recently come to our attention that you are gay.

I didn't mind the episodes with Dil. They probably weren't as adventurous, but still fun.

I disliked the show when Kimmy came. She wasn't a bad character. Very sweet, and I liked how she and Chucky loved eachother so much. But the plots and adventures really weren't interesting.

It wasn't the movie that ruined the show... The movies were quite different from the show if you haven't noticed.....

All three movies were pretty good.
