I've always loved this movie, but...

I feel like it would have been so much better if not for two things...

One, if they didn't show the principal's murder at the beginning. It would have made the scene in the gym more surprising when she gets back up.

Two, if they didn't show Mary Beth's tentacle finger. That sort of ruined the reveal scenes of her being an alien for me.
