Zeke and Ms Burke
Is the scene where she waves to him in the bleachers at football practice towards the end of the movie supposed to imply they are having a fling? This is one thing I always wondered.

She was a repressed woman, but then... she lost her head (Literally LOL)
it was weird because she's a teacher, although I suppose Zeke is supposed to have really graduated already so maybe that makes it less allowed...
granted in this film the coach didn't care when players were smoking on the field and whatnot. maybe more relaxed small town thing
but yes OP I can't imagine that little wave at the end signified anything different
If i go crazy will you still call me Superman?
I didn't even expect her to be around at the end considering she lost her head but there she was. lol
She melts in your mouth, she melts in your hands.
if he had graduated then why was he still playing high school ball?
She's a real carpenter's dream "Flat as a board and needs a screw"
^ Zeke will probably end up being that guy who is 35 and still going to high school parties.
Troll the respawn, Jeremy.
He didn't graduate. Ms. Burke in the first scene in which the two of them interact by his car says to him "You could have made up your finals over the summer, you didn't have to repeat your Senior year." Before that the ID kids say "If your so brilliant how come your repeating Senior year" and I forget who it was but someone in the main group also mentions that he is repeating Senior year. A minimum three times it was said, possibly more.
Wisdom isn't an after thought so stop looking for it at the bottom of the page
Seen this a million times but i guess i didn't pay attention.thanks
shareLucky bastard!
shareImagine if it was a 30 year old dude teacher waving like that to an 18 year old girl out on the field? doubt that would've been approved in the movie. The double standards are funny man.
