Favorite episode?
I thought "A Dangerous Business" (viewable @ pbs.org) and "The Last Abortion Clinic" were very thought provoking episodes.
sharei liked the episode about wallmart, it was really good.
shareMy favorites would be:
-The Walmart episode
-U.S. relations with Iran following 9/11
-The Taliban's resurgence in Pakistan and how it has complicated the Afghan War
-Tankman
Just watched the Walmart episode. Interesting things but it was too much propaganda and too little actual economics. They let the regular people talk about economics and the experts talk a little bit in between. Not good.
shareMy #1. I boycotted Wal-mart for 2 years after watching it.
shareThe one about Meth.

There have been so many episodes of Frontline that I've enjoyed over the years, but two immediately spring to mind as favorites:
1.) Who Was Lee Harvey Oswald (2003)- Simply the most comprehensive and sober dissection of both Oswald's life & the Kennedy assassination ever produced.
2.) Seven Days in Bensonhurst (1990) – This episode pertained to the murder of an African-American youth, Yusef Hawkins, in the then predominantly Italian-American neighborhood of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn in the summer of 1989. I lived in Bensonhurst at the time of the murder, and can remember quite vividly how the media, along with the likes of Al Sharpton & Morton Downey Jr., turned this tragedy into a carnival freak show.

My favorite will always be "Romeo and Juliet in Sarajevo," because it was so tragically beautiful. I was hoping someone would use the story to make an independent (or even a major motion) film about it. I wish I could find a copy of the program.
shareOh, I've been looking for this one for years. I wish the folks at PBS would put it online with the more recent ones.
shareI will always remember "The Farmer's Wife" (1998), "The House of Saud," (2005), "Hunting Osama bin Laden," (2001), and "Death of a Princess."
shareCountry Boys was my all-time favorite. Anyone who has'nt seen it should buy the DVD.
shareThere are so many great episodes of Frontline, but I will never forget "Romeo and Juliet in Sarajevo."

"The Warning" though not one of my all-time, was quite good. It was particularly enjoyable to see the dismantling of Greespan's icon status. I've never thought he was anything but a fortuante fraud. But still, not enough people know this. Can we take back his "Medal of Freedonm?"
The only criticism I'd have of Ms.Born is that she isn't/wasn't vocal enough. Not that she could have prevented things, even if she had been a whistleblower. But there is no reason not set the record straight now. And in the first person. Not via someone else.
I haven't seen nearly enough episodes, but Country Boys was definitely a favorite as well. Still memorable after all these years.

There have been so many great ones, but the two that stand out in my memory are Country Boys (3 parter if I recall) and one about the genocide in Rwanda and America's efforts to pretend it wasn't happening.
shareThe Farmer's Wife
