Does anyone remember Joseph Marcell (aka Geoffrey the Butler from Fresh Prince) appearing on the Desmonds? If so why isn't he credited on imdb for it?

I remember, he plays somebody related to the character Matthew who died sadly some years ago. I love this show and can still remember it even though I was so young when it came on.

He was a relative of someones, I was only about 9/10 when this was screened so I'm not sure!

But if it ever got realeased on DVD - I'd buy it.

Sheila Ferguson of the Philly Soul group The Three Degrees made at least one guest appearance as the girlfriend of Desmond's oldest son, the banker. Sheila moved to London some years ago and got into acting.

aint got a clue but i do know that the barber shop is real cause i used too get my hair cut there the shop is based in peckham southeast london.

Hmm i dont ever recall Geoffrey in Desmonds.But i did see him on the London underground on the same day i came back from Harlem.I almost wanted to run up to him and say "Hi Jeffrey!" His in Eastenders now and all old and gray.Anyone here remember the guy that was ALWAYS On the payphone in the shop? I saw him once in Kings Cross station and he was related to a friend of mine..

But does anyone remember "Geoffrey" ( Joseph Marcel ) as the stuttering "walter Isaacs" in BBCTV's EMPIRE ROAD from the late 70s - He was great in that one - now THAT's another show that deserves the DVD treatment!

Yeah it was definitely him I've just seen the re-run of that episode and came straight here to find out if it was him!! He was playing Matthew's brother-in-law also called Matthew. I wonder why he's not listed.

He was in seasons 2 episode 7 called Porkpies, he plays Matthews sisters husband also called Matthew.

Maybe he wasn't creditted as he only stared in only one episode.

It still comes on in the UK. He plays the husband to Matthews sister who's also called Matthew :)
