'Mallrats Trapped In A Salty Lake'

Call it what it really is.

Without Kevin Smith's birth, this film would not exist.

Actually this movie feels a lot more like an Alex Cox or Penelope Spheeris movie to me. I get that there is a certain "slacker" appeal to this movie that may recall something of Smith's earlier work.. But honestly this movie is much more experimental, emotionally engaging, and tonally ambiguous than anything in Smiths catalog. Rather I think any similarities it has to something like "Mallrats" is more just telling of the era it came out in. So, in so many words, your wrong.
