Godawful

Totally enjoyed rewatching all the "Apes" films over recent days, but tried to take this one in again having not seen it since its cinema release and found it just unbearable.

When you consider what the original series of five films (Planet-to-Battle) WERE and achieved in their day (despite the limitations of their time and ever-diminishing budgets) and what the modern-day reboots (Rise-to-Dawn...and beyond!)) are doing and achieving... well it has to be said considering this film's director, writers, stars, focus and megabudget - WELL this can only be described as one unholy mess which I'd say few find any solace in.

Think most "Apes" fans are right in "disowning" it from the(ir) franchise.
