Anybody who follows Gibson would be stricken at the absence of the "high tech thread". His work is "high tech". This is a self-indulgent piece of dreck. The first half of the movie is almost incomprehensible as plot. The second half of the movie is a repeat "in memory" of the the first half. What a ripoff! These people don't know Gibson.

And why would he? The movie was made with his blessing and support, and it remains faithful to the story while improving it by cutting back on the less interesting bits, i.e. more of a focus on the intrigue and relationships between the characters.

Do you know, did Gibson write that line "you're dead, you just don't have the sense to lay down" before or after the movie (and maybe book) "Rising Sun" did?
