I will DISOWN this movie if the Wachowskis insist that it was a Trans allegory


The thing that was brilliant about The Matrix is that it used symbolism to teach the public very sophisticated concepts about the nature of reality in a way it could understand, such as Plato's Cave and "maya". Literally, the entire core concept of the movie was to not take reality for granted--i.e., not take it at face value because, as Socrates once said, "The unexamined life is not worth living".

This movie was so thought-provoking in this regard that it introduced many people to philosophy and spawned hundreds of books, articles and scholarly dissertations.

Over time, the franchise became weaponized by evil Far Right and Libertarian wingnuts using it as their basis to argue why their crackpot theories and beliefs were an indication that they were like Neo. In other words, a franchise that was about waking up to reality and truth became used to spread untruth and unreality.

Now the Wachowskis are jumping on board that bullshit bandwagon to legitimize transgenderism, a pseudo-science right up there with phrenology, the bell curve theory and eugenics. In other words--out of the frying pan into the oven. It was bad enough that we had Far Right white nationalists and Incel sociopaths using this movie to spread their beliefs. Now we have the mentally ill on the Far Left, too.

But that's not even the worst of it. The Matrix--with all of its brilliant references to Plato's Cave, maya, and several Eastern and Western traditions when it comes to the nature of reality--could still be used to help us out of this anti-reality, anti-science, anti-intellectual hellhole. But now the Wachowskis want to be part of the problem in the worst way possible by using their movie to perpetuate more anti-science.

And I suppose you are aware a few years ago that they became Wachowski sisters, having changed their gender, apparently. What used to be Andy and Larry are now Lilly and Lana Wachowski.

Also, even if they DO claim it is "it" or even on SOME ways related to it, I would STILL consider The Matrix to be a very good and hugely enjoyable and entertaining late 90s sci-fi action movie. Although my personal favorite work by them ,and yes haha they WERE "Wachowski Brothers" all those years back then, will always be the brilliant modern neo-noir Mafia thriller "Bound" (1996) with Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly.

Of course I am aware of their transition.

But here's the thing--there were rumors many years ago that the Wachowskis plagiarized the Matrix. I am not just talking about the woman who tried suing them. They ripped off a lot from the comic book, The Invisibles, not just in terms of visuals but themes and various plot points.

So, if they're going to turn around now and say that the entire franchise was an allegory for transgenderism, what that tells me is that the accusations of plagiarism are true. The reason why it confirms the rumors is that not being the original creators of the Matrix story, they didn't understand the complex philosophical references or the deep religious symbolism in the source material, however brilliantly captured.

That they're now using this franchise to do the exact same thing that lunatic fringers (Incels, Q Anon, etc.) are doing to legitimize crackpot theory and pseudo-science, in my opinion, outs them as frauds.

The good thing about virtue-signaling-based ret-conning is that it doesn't alter the actual movie in any way. It just becomes 'insanity from the makers' instead of any kind of gospel you have to obey.

You can still enjoy the movie just as before.

I can't understand the passion behind wanting to be idiotic SJW virtue-signalers. Why do everyone in hollyweird do it so quickly and easily? Doesn't anyone have the nowadays rare combination of 'brain + spine' anymore?

The Matrix definitely wasn't meant as that kind of allegory or symbolism, but it's a movie with so many borrowed themes and so much kitchen-philosophy, that you can basically bend it towards any stupid and lie-based ideology and make people see it that way - it's JUST vague enough in its symbolism that you can see it from multiple angles.

About this whole 'trans' crap; you CAN change your 'bodily gender', but only by waiting long enough to be incarnated into the opposite gender's body after your current body dies.

You can _NOT_ alter the gender of a physical or etheric body any more than you can alter the race. It is what it was born as, it will die as what it was born as.

Let's use a male body as an example - it can't be changed to a female body. No matter what hormones and blockers and other unnatural crap you shove in there, the beard will still grow. Your boobage area will still not produce milk or grow REAL booby tissue.

Your brain will not change into a female brain, no matter what you do, it will remain a male brain (there's a BIG difference between genders when it comes to brains).

Your skull shape and size, your skeleton, bone structure, bone size and marrow will not change to a female form, it will remain male.

You can mutilate your genitals all you want, but they won't be fully-functional female vagina, womb, etc. that can do everything a vagina and womb can. You won't get 'period' and you will never produce period blood with that mutilated body.

The muscle structure and density..

.. and size, will remain male. Your body size and shape will remain male. Your hip region is going to remain very different from a female hip region.

Your etheric body, the chakra directions and size and speeds will remain male. You can't change this.

Your psychology will remain male - you will still get attracted to someone based on their looks, not on their status, no matter how big a wallet someone has or how rumbling sound their Lamborghini makes. That will not make you 'wet' (formerly 'erect').

Even if you are attracted to men, you will be attracted to men the same way a gay man would, not the way women would. You still won't gain women's social manipulation mastery and the gossip ability (these are actually way above men's skills in these areas). You won't gain women's sensitivity and revulsion to talking about sexual things directly and openly, you can still do it like a man.

You are not going to be as nurturing as a woman can be to a baby (from 0-2 years, women are the best parents for a child, from 2 years onward, men are the best parents, but for balance, a child needs both at all ages).

You are not going to feel inclination to play with barbie dolls instead of trucks and spaceships, and you will still be drawn to computers, programming, creativity and such endeavours that women only practice for surface reasons, not because they feel a calling to it.

I could go on, but I think I made my point; slicing some flesh and attaching other bits to a new place unnaturally does not become a 'TRANSITION' of anything else but from sanity to insanity. Instead of calling it 'their transition', you would be wiser to call it 'their insanity' or 'their stupidity' (or both).

Trans culture is very trendy right now, the new movie is coming out (no pun intended) at the right time for them. They will push that it was made by transrectors and it will for sure have trans culture attached to it.

Good point about the irony of a storyline about unreality and manipulation back in '99 compared to what the themes of the new one will be.

It could be bandwagon jumping. But I also feel as though they're trying to save face. One of the biggest criticisms against the trilogy is that the quality drops considerable with the second and third sequel, especially in terms of consistency and logic. The working theory was that the Wachowskis plagiarized the first movie, got caught with their pants down having to do these sequels, and then struggled to complete the rest of them.

If the working theory is true, then the Wachowskis are possibly using this whole "trans" thing as a cover, as in, "Yes, the sequels don't make sense in terms of this Plato's Cave analogy and the nature of reality. That's because the entire trilogy was never about that. It was really an allegory for the transgender experience. So, stop making heads or tales out of the Matrix Reloaded or Matrix Revolutions in terms of Plato's Cave. See it all as being about transgenderism and you will see how the entire thing flows together perfectly."

I think that's certainly going to be the agenda with the new movie. As for this film, it's a brilliant piece of art and can be interpreted however one pleases. I wouldn't disown it cause some folks aren't loving it the right way. And almost all brilliant works of art are later ruined by their aging creators.

I cordially dislike allegory in all its manifestations, and always have done so since I grew old and wary enough to detect its presence. I much prefer history – true or feigned – with its varied applicability to the thought and experience of readers. I think that many confuse applicability with allegory, but the one resides in the freedom of the reader, and the other in the purposed domination of the author.


But I think the worst part is, while there is no doubt in my mind the new film will be crammed to bursting with modern-day hot-topic issues and partisan politics, all delivered with the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face – because nuanced, intelligent writing is, like, so last century, or something – there was just no creative reason for a fourth film.

I would even say there was no need for a second and third film. The first was very much self contained and stood perfectly fine by itself.

Well you better disown the movie now because that is exactly how it will go. I believe they even hinted at it already with some comments.

This is a sequel that has no need to exist but here we are. Expect all the trendy political talking points to be included in it.

Personally, no offense of course, but I couldn't really care less if they do so, haha, I still can't help it but ENJOY the movie. Also the fact that I own the original 1999 copy of the film on DVD, which my family bought 20 years ago, gives it a solid nostalgia value for me in that sense. Claim what you want Wachowskis, me still likes your movie a lot and I am mostly lukewarm on the sequels though.
