Neo was saved by true love's kiss

Nobody talking about that?

Neat inversion of the typical trope.

It comes shortly after they rescue princess Morpheus, too.

I don't think he was although it might appear that way in the original movie. The Architect reveals that the Ones are crucial for the existence of the Matrix, hence the Matrix wouldn't allow them to be killed (it was stated multiple times that the One can't die) until they enter the Source.
My guess is that in order to become the One subjects have to die only to be resurrected right away (remember that during their first meeting the Oracle said to Neo "You're waiting for something. Your next life maybe"?). So I think that the kiss has nothing to do with Neo coming back to life and it's just a convenient coincidence

Disregarding that explanation that someone tries to give using some OTHER movie, and not THIS ONE (there is no 'architect' in this movie, try to keep the discussion to the movie whose board you're discussing in), here's what REALLY happened:

- A lonely nerd that has never even been close to a woman before Trinity, immediately falls for her (despite her being a cold-hearted, ugly, short-haired, never-smiling dominatrix that always dresses in some kind of black PVC outfit and talks in monotone without any emotion whatsoever) because of his hormones

- A sexual frustration is born, now he dreams of her every time they're in any kind of contact or proximity, and probably even when training, which is why he fails every training program

- He's ready to give up and die - but then just before he can, he feels something on his lips - his FIRST KISS! Whow! This is enough to make his blood flow and bring new life to his body, screw death, this is more important, finally GETTING SOME! As the 'Everything Wrong' video says, the

POWER OF BONERS

is stronger than the machines' illusion of 'death', so Neo HAS to survive, or he will never bone.

It's as simple as that. Who mentioned anything about LOVE? These two have no energy together, they have nothing romantic going on, happening or even hinted at. She just has a female boner for the highest-status man in the whole world, and then confesses it as a desperate last measure to bring him back. Neo knows that the only way he'll ever get any is to come back and now he'll have a willing, wet woman wanting One's willy!

Love? True love? Ha! I certainly don't see ANYTHING like that in this movie, only boners.

Just watch "The Matrix Pitch Meeting" to see what I mean, it's explained and proves my point.
