Really liked it because it makes you question what is criminal *Spoilers

I think the plot was interesting and I see a lot of people on here saying the kids didn't deserve to get away with it because what they did was illegal and that Tingle never *technically* did anything wrong because being a bitch isn't illegal

…however…

This movie makes you question a lot. Sure, Tingle wasn't doing anything illegal, but morally and ethically, she was keeping students down because of her own personal demons/issues. Those actions have lifelong consequences for students and their futures. She didn't want them to succeed so she abused her power to make sure of it. Just because that's not technically illegal, who's to say it's not as bad or, dare I say, worse than being held hostage for a day? And who knows how many countless previous students she stymied from a bright future just because she didn't feel like facilitating their success with fair and accurate grades?

Bitch got off easy by just losing her job. I'm with the kids on this one.

Ever see One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I think of Tingle the way I think of Nurse Ratchet. She wasn't doing anything illegal, but what she was doing was not only morally wrong, but downright cruel.

I read the book but haven't seen the movie. I agree, Ratched got off too easy.

I had a teacher like that, they can really mess you up. 

Exactly! I had a teacher who tried to deny me access to culinary school because I didn't have a food handler's card. I did, but it was just online and couldn't be printed. The other teachers embarrassed him in front of my classmates and made him apologize to me. Ever since then, he was rude and cruel to me.

He always embarrassed me whenever he could and then failed me or barely passed me in every class even when I had passing grades on everything and good attendance. It makes me regret going to college. I was severely depressed because of him. And, to top it all off, the head of the school district for where I live was best friends with him so I couldn't get him in trouble for what he did.

He was truly unhappy about having to be a chef and only wanted to be a baker. So, he put out his anger on others. He seemed tolerable in our baking classes and that's when he got drunk during our wine tasting class and told us about wanting to desperately be a baker, but never got to. It's quite interesting having to have such a douchebag for a teacher.
