By far the worst of The Crow movie franchise!!!

This movie was awful... and Eric Maubis was very unconvincing as The Crow. Even Kirsten Dunst couldn't help this crock of sh**.

As you can see lots of people agree with you(btw I'm not one of them-I don't agree with you...I can accept that the first crow was "slightly" better, but the worst crow???Come on it was a wonderful story and the action was good..it was just a bit more "American" than the first one...but for sure it was better than the 2nd one and for sure it was a million times better than wicked prayer, which sucked)...
In any case,it's just my opinion...feel free to disagree...
PS:Eric Mabius was great,I really liked his performance...it was comparable to Brandon Lee's and it was a lot greater than Edward Furlong's in Wicked Prayer...
I salute you in peace...

reply

I disagree and reckon it comes 2nd to the original Crow movie.

I saw Wicked Prayer recently and was bitterly disappointed considering how much I enjoyed the book and the fact I was living in the false hope that Ed Furlong would make a decent crow.

The music and atmosphere in Salvation is great, having never seen Eric Mabius before I was surprised by the quality and originality of his performance...not trying to imitate Lee in either looks or mannerisms.

As I've said, it's not my fave Crow movie but it's by far not the worst.

I LIKED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eric Is Cute!!!!!!!!!!

wicked prayer is good

I LOVE THIS MOVIE WITH A FRICKEN PASSION! Eric Mabius I think was amazing in this film. I loved the story and I loved the compassion the characters had. Eric is my favorite actor and the way he did this film was really amazing. I wasnt much a fan of the other ones. I know brandon lee was amazing in the first but i have to go with Eric Mabius and this crow movie for the best!

reply

Good...We already have 4 People that liked TC:Salvation and that Dummy who started the post thinks this is the worst...OK,it's his opinion,I know...I can understand it,if this is the only crow movie he saw except from the original, but if he's seen the 2nd(city of angels) and the 4th(wicked prayer),then he doesn't understand nothing about what makes a good movie...

reply

to me nothing beats the original crow with Brandon Lee, every movie that came after it was a complete let down. and was i the only one who wished to shoot the lawyer everytime he opened his mouth?!

...because liking or disliking something over something else equates to understanding what makes a good movie?

Oh wait, no, that's just another elitist thinking they can tell other people what's good and what's not.

reply

i heartly agree with you, there is nothing they could have done to make this movie any worse.

Why does everyone have to mention the First part. When was the last time a sequel was any better than the original. This movie was good the second not really. But if you really want to see a bad sequel You see wicked prayer.

reply

I myself would go with aliens and terminator 2 for superior sequels. Granted you couldn't have those without the first but I myself preferred them as individual films. As for poor sequels, I'll join you on wicked prayer. Fair enough you can see salvation is a straight to dvd quality movie, but I didn't think it was too bad. wicked prayer on the other hand didn't go down with me at all. Didn't like it at all and I was really looking forward to it coming out.

[Actually it was the best crow.]

Now with all due respect that is just crazy talk there. And true T2 and Aliens are worthy sequels and could be far better than the first I must have had a brain fart and forgot those movies. And as much as people may bash this film and say that it was so bad it went straight to DVD my answer would be this. Of cousre it went straight to DVD the second part bombed in an epic scale. And never say that these films are bad sequels cause remember this sad fact UWE BOLL Has been given the rights to do another House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark Sequels.

reply

Actually I saw this one in a cinema. Don't think Wicked Prayer even got a DVD release over here, saw it on some Satelite movie channel.

No, it didn't. The second movie made money at the theaters. It wasn't a hit but it was profitable. This movie was relegated to straight-to-video because of poor test screenings.

The Bourne Ultimatum. So when was that? Less than a year ago. Not that long, really.

And I've got more examples if you want to hear them.

reply

Respectfully, I have to disagree, too. This movie belongs to the not-even-remotely-close-to-the-worst-sequel-I've-ever-seen chapter...in my book, of course ;)

& I liked it also!

Brag all you want! But don't get between Me & the BloodWine!!!:-V

This Film was utterly horrible on a striking scale, the first two were amazing, but this sucked the major monkey

reply

the first one was by far the best in every aspect, cast, acting, plot, I especially loved the dialog between Brandon Lee and Michael Wincott near the end. Two was watchable and has minor replay value thanks to Iggy Pop. Three was a disgusting disgrace I mean they couldnt even get the make up right, half the time i was expecting to hear someone tell Mabius his lines off camera. The only watchable character in this movie is Walton Goggins, not even Dunst couldve pulled a rabbit out of her ass on this one

reply

I agree that this movie wasn't GOOD. I found Eric Mabius kind of unconvincing. They should have just let the makeup go, because he really could not pull it off.

That being said, this was nowhere near as bad as the second one for me. The second one.. I consider one of the worst MOVIES I have ever seen, not just the worst Crow movie, although I know a lot of people will disagree with me on that. I just thought the second one was awful. Everything in the second one seemed forced. I didn't care about anyone. I didn't feel a bit sad when Vincent was mourning over his son. None of them convinced me. And the lines, that movie had some of the worst lines I've ever heard 'Do you want me... baby?" HAHAHAHA. Sorry.

But again, this movie wasn't anything I'd call good, but it's a TON better than City of Angels. Mabius was better than the guy in the second one, for sure.

reply

This movie was terrible but it was slightly better than the 2nd film which was complete trash. I will say I thought the plot was alittle bit more inventive in this movie verses what they did in the 2nd film. The only thing I liked about the 2nd movie was the visual style and Ash had a motorcycle but that was about it. The only good Crow movie was the original.

reply

I know im in the minority but prefer part 2 to this one

reply

I disagree, i just saw The Crow: Wicked Prayer and THAT movie is the worst movie ever made. Besides vanilla sky, ang lee's hulk, gigli (or hell, anything with Ben Affleck in it), ghost rider, the chronicles of riddick, and countless others.

reply

City of Angels was the worst of the franchise. Salvation is the best sequel.

Wicked Prayer is the worst of the franchise.

reply

It was pretty awful. I picked it up several years ago on rental, and it was just ... terrible. I've yet to force myself to see Wicked Prayer (which I just knew would make this one look like gold), but I will eventually. Perhaps.

I have City of Angels on video somewhere, but that doesn't exactly come highly recommended either, which I've also yet to see. Nothing really compares to the original and Brandon Lee, although it is looking very dated now.
