No. But of course, this begs the question of why the hell you would want to watch this crappy sequel without seeing the first film...which is the only good movie of the bunch.

I honestly hope that was sarcasm. City of Angels infuriated me the first time I saw it. It just wasn't good. The original will always be the best, all three sequels are just kinda rip-offs of it.
And no, you don't have to see the first two to understand this, but I would highly recomend seeing the original before seeing this.
Here's the breakdown for me-
The Crow- 10 out of 10
City of Angels- 4 out of 10 (I'm being generous because I like a few scenes and we know the studio messed with the final cut. In reality, my score should be more like a 3 out of 10)
Salvation- 7 out of 10 (Actually decent once you give it a chance)
Wicked Prayer- 2 out of 10 (the only thing saving this from getting a 1 out of 10 is the constant unintentional laughs it gets for being so awful) share
City of Angels was stupid as hell. He kills the bad guy and then the trees around him start exploding... because why?
The bad guy can steal his power by drinking the blood of the crow because why?
That's not even how the revenant's power works. He is fueled by his own passion and willpower, which is why in the first movie, Eric is weakened briefly when Tin-Tin talks about raping his wife and her loving it. Or when Alex thinks the man with the scar is dead, and so starts to lose his will.
