The special features

I've been trying to figure out how the special features were chosen. "The Walls Have Eyes" is obvious since it has the same director. What about the others?

It's such a strange collection of shorts to package with a turkey gore horror! A film about seeking God, a documentary about wild turkeys, a highly patriotic short about Thanksgiving, a soft-porn story about blackmail, a Reefer Madnes-style drug warning documentary ... yes, I can see the thematic connection with the feature, but it's still really strange so I was wondering if there is any further connection other than very general thematic content and the common director in the case of "Walls."
