I owned the 2 LP set when this came out. Unfortunately I do not have it anymore. Is this available on CD? I've seen the album in used record stores but it goes for a ridiculous price. If all else fails I will be forced to buy it.
shareUnfortunately no, the widow of Lou Reizner owns the master tapes now and there's no indication of a CD release.
shareThere had been talk at one time that this MIGHT see the light of day on CD in 2006 or 2007. Obviously, the issue is one of liscensing as a number of the artists involved are no longer working for the same labels or under the same contracts as were drawn up in 1976.
Sidenote: I'm actually in the process of creating my own CD copy from a vinyl copy I purchased for less than $10 on ebay. Beleive it or not, it was in pretty good condition.
