Put this show on DVD!!!

Comedy Central needs to put this show on DVD! They wouldn't have too much trouble selling it if they say staring the creaters of Reno 911 and Michael Ian Black.

reply

if they put this and the state on dvd i would be really happy

reply

I freakin' agree.. Viva Variety was mucho hilarious.. I'd buy it in a "Texas" (where i'm from) minute..

"That's Dirty Girtie! Pull her bow and she'll say hello". (Pinky Rose in 3 Women)

reply

The state and reno 911! have made their way into x-box live, so I'm hoping viva ends up there also...

reply

I agree. I really enjoyed this show when it was on the air & I would defintely purchase this show if Comedy Central puts it onto DVD. The show only last 2 seasons so it wouldn't cost a lot of money to produce & it will probably sell.

My favorite sketch/skit would have to be "Hugo The Talking Yugo".

reply

I agree this show should be put on DVD. I'm sure it would sell well because all the stars are doing very well in their careers at this point. I loved Viva Variety -- I have a very old tape of one of their specials. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy performed but don't recall the what acts were in the variety act.

reply

I liked The State much better than Viva Variety.

However, one of my favorite Japanese groups (Pizzicato 5) performed on it, so that rox.

reply

I remember Pizzicato 5, very unique and cool band!

I was a big fan of the State as well, it's another one I wish they'd release on DVD already!

reply

I remember the episode where Johnny Blue Jeans sang his Ms. Pacman song.

Hilarious!

it's unlikely to come out on DVD anytime soon I'm afraid. I remember the previews they had of the show on VHS tapes of South Park and I don't think they ever released them on VHS.

One can, of course, dream...

I completely concur. This is definitely a collection that I would love to see released on DVD. I would snatch up every episode in a second. In a second!

Such a good show.

reply

its probably not being released b/c they are too cheap to get the rights to the music.

reply

If anyone knows a torrent of a homemade dvd avalible for it they should post it

Here's a link:

Scroll about halfway down - it's there. Received mine today. Somebody (smarter than I was!) taped it and transferred to DVD. Quality is remarkably good. Note: it is a "best of" so you won't get everything, but you'll get a good sampling.

reply

perhaps the success of reno 911! Miami will boost interest in this show

reply

i believe this show is completely dead now my friends... as sad as it is to say. there werent even enough episodes for them to make a dvd... pisses me off.

reply

Not enough episodes? There were at least 3 seasons! FRENCH OR GAY!

reply

I liked the Viva Dancers. ;)

I also wish Shasta Mcnasty! was on DVD.
