This film was brilliant!!

I don't know if I'd call it brilliant. Not a great film but it sure as hell is entertaining. One of my fave 'guilty pleasures'.

What a bunch of sad sacs that have voted it so low. I don't think I've ever seen a film that truly deserved a 1 and this certainly isn't a fanboy film with a legion of followers voting 10 that need to be checked.

I can understand why so many people hate it, because it does have a lot of things going against it in the 'critic' stakes. It's by Renny Harlin, it's a Stallone film, it's a sports film and it's full of eye candy that most of the 'critics' could only dream of.

If I was seriously considering it against all other films, I'd probably give it 5.5 (which is a pass mark), but I have to give it a 7 for it's entertainment value.

Best watched on a huge screen with the sound cranked up. Great soundtrack.

Seriously, this film was the most unrealistic piece of work ever...
As someone who does have access to the fraternity of F1, not only did Sly rewrite a script canvassed by F1 - he glammed up a series that never even came that close!
The racing dialogue was horrid, the shunts were ridiculous and the obvious spin off from F1 utilizing famous personalities such as Sir Frank Williams was disgusting. As a guy i would much rather watch the devil wears prada on a sunday afternoon than watch this garbage again. funny, since this film Sly isnt so prominant in the F1 paddock as he used to.

What does BRILLIAT mean??? LOL

I really liked the movie as well, Burt Reynolds was awesome,, didn't care for Kip Pardue,, but the women were smoking hot.
