Question about a track

The crash scene were the car ends up in the water with the one driver pinned underneath, is the racetrack they are racing at in Germany? I looked on the filming locations page and that is one of the only tracks that I don't know of.

By the way, many of the racing scenes from that track look horrible. The track only looked wide enough for one car in many scenes.

That is the legendery nordschleife circuit in nurberg germany. It is 14 miles long and is the most famous track in history. Car makers around the world test their high performence models on this track. I have driven on this track and some parts are only wide enough for two cars. I did the track in 9:31seconds in a bmw m3, first time out.

Is that really the old part of the Nurburgring? I thought almost all or all of the race scenes were filmed somewhere in the States or Canada.

This Racingleague has one Race in germany actually,
They race on the "Eurospeedway Lausitz" in germany, but the track that is shown in the movie isn´t the Eurospeedway Lausitz, so its an not realy existing track.

(sorry for my bad english, i´m just 16, from germany and more interestet in formula one ;-) )
