Bummer of Love/Food of the Clods ... my favorite ep

I LOVE the Awesome Beaver Pond Rock Festival episode. I had no idea Will Ferrell voiced the bouncer. I really wish I could hear from the animators how they animated the I Think I Like You sequence with the uber trippy psychedelic backgrounds and whatnot. Yes I know some of the shots of Norb and Treeflower were painted on clear cels but some of that other stuff looked absolutely amazing and who knows how much work went into doing that scene. I guess they used special computers. The Simpsons episode where Homer ate the insanity peppers had the whole tripping out thing and on the DVD commentary they said most of it was done using special computer software and this was in 1996. I've loved this Beavers episode ever since it first aired when I was in 3rd grade. Of course back then I didn't know what Woodstock was, or why the hell there was so much psychedelic animation in this one.

Food of the Clods ... now as an adult, the parodies of the awful black and white B movies are too funny. I've seen some myself in recent years, and a couple weeks ago I saw the 1950s version of The Blob for the first time. Haha. My parents always got a kick out of those spoofs and I never knew why they thought it was so funny. I just thought the Beavers had horrible taste. I was never a fan of the end though, when we hear Norb and Dag barf.
