Worst movie in the history of cinema!!

I despise this movie to the very core of my being. Everyone who uses the budget tocrutch this movie higher than it should be, should also consider that Wing Commander 3 and 4 both had superior cgi AND costumes to the movie. if they would have just strung all the cut scenes from Wing Commander 4 it would have been 100 times the movie this garbage was. What is the most perplexing is the creator of the game was both the director and writer of this. Not only did this movie suck it was one of the biggest reasons the game developer of this game went out of buisness. Did Blair REALLY need some kind of mystical powers? Just being a good pilot wasnt good enough? he had to have the force as well?? You Barely saw the Kilrathi, and whne you did they were laughably bad. Hobbes from Wing Commander 3 was show full screen quite a bit and was head and shoulders better than the puppets in the movie. It boggles my mind how anyone can like this movie...I just do not comprehend. I would rather get kicked in the groin repeatedly than to watch this movie again.

I whole-heartedly agree with all of your points. I have sat through this abomination twice, once we rented it and the second time i watched it not believing how crap i remembered it being. The punishment for crimes against humanity should be watching this on repeat.

Hah..I finally got a chance to this what people call "worst movie of all time". Yup, they were right..this movie blows serious chunks.

I saw this when I was ten and it was stupid. There was also a laser pointer in the theater which distracted me every once in a while from this garbage. Imagine if Uwe Boll directed this.

Ugh...don't frighten me like that. While I love this film, I admit that it's bad. But the idea of Uwe Boll getting his hands on this series makes me shudder.

Nonsense, if you think Wing Commander is the worst movie of all time... you haven't seen StarShip Troopers 2 :*D

Having read the movie novelization, I have to say the main reason the movie sucks is because most of the plot (included in the book) is mysteriously missing from the movie. Not sure why that happened.

Test audiences had a hard time grasping that Admiral Wilson was the guy that they'd seen during the "Pearl Harbor" scene. His sudden appearance confused the hell out of them, so the whole "Pilgrim traitor" subplot was cut out. I hope they'll restore it if it gets released on whatever the new DVD format is.

Now i dont think wing commander was the worste movie of all time but I def have to say it was pretty bad though. Maybe if I had never played games and maybe if i didn't love the games so much i would have enjoyed this movie as some straight to dvd rental or late night show, but they really screwed up the story line.I mean Manic and Blair are bitter rivals not friends if they had to give Matt and Freddy buddy buddy roles they should have worked in one of the other hundreds of characters in the movie, and just cast some else for the role.There also needed to be alot more space fighter to figher combat becuase come on that why we all really went to see it isn't it. And what no Mark Hamial i mean I know they couldn'r put him in the lead but he should had at least a better role like an a commander or Admarial. Oh well with this movie flop i guess i m just back to trying to salavge my old wing commander discs

Come. Sit down my good, movie loving friends and let ol' Uncle Infinite tell ya tale. A tale of a fateful night he and two of his friends went to the talkie pictures. Now ya see, Uncle Infinite and his friends wanted some entertainment. The talkie they agreed to was a feature called Wing Commander. But they had learned that before the film would a sneak preview of a much anticipated talkie picture called Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

Now ol' Uncle Infinite being wiseacre he is remarked before the film started, "I'll bet that the Star Wars trailer will be the best thing about seeing this movie." Ol' Uncle Infinite and his friends sat and watched the Wing Commander talkie. 100 minutes later they slowly walked out of the cinema mumbling under their breaths about what they had just seen. But mostly they had agreed that the trailer was indeed the best part of seeing the film.

Cleary you haven't been stuck on an airplane and forced to watch either 'eye of the beholder','sweet november', or 'stay' - for sheer suckatude they are far superior to this cheesy flix.

I saw Eye of the Beholder on cable. Actually, I had my computer to distract me from that movie. And since I hate flying, I don't have the fear of being stuck in a death tube with a crap movie playing. ;) Although it is fun to rent bad movies with friends and pull an MST3K on them. Like for instance; Ilsa: She-Wolf of the SS. Oh man that movie actually hurt me. I mean physically hurt me.

It's pretty awful, but to call this the worst movie of all time must mean you haven't seen many terrible movies.

Try Battlefield Earth for instance.

Worse than Boat trip? Worse tban Pooty Tang? Worse than Beyond the Valley of the Dolls? Worse than Frankenhooker? Worse than Plan 9 From Outer Space? Worse than Warlock 2? Worse than Big Mama's House? (or any of those Dude in a fat suit movies? Worse than Reefer Madness? Worse than Thank God It's Friday?

i agree with previous statements if you call this the worst you must not see to many movies
this movie doesnt even make it close to the worst of all time pile
like as stated before
battlefield earth, dear god could the camera man level off his camera
plan 9 from outer space
also you must never watch scifi channels B-movie saturday
in short this movie lands in the middle not to good but not to bad

they should of based the move on wing commander 4 and got the same actors to play each character
