Any chance this will ever come out on Blu-Ray? (The whole series.)

My google skills might be lacking..

But the topic says it all.

Is there ever any chance of that happening?

Or do different people own the rights to different episodes?

If one wanted a complete series, DVD, or what ever available; is it even possible?

I live in Norway to complicate the matter. (Different zone on the disks.)

It would be possible to release the show on blu-ray but without the original masters it would be sort of pointless. Also at the moment there isn't any interest from Lionsgate in remastering as that costs money. If you want to see the show on blu-ray best bet is to import from Germany as they have the show on blu-ray although word of warning: there have been complaints the quality isn't very good.

Thanks for the info!

I think on Blu-Ray or even UHD Blu-Ray because all episodes could fit on fewer disks.

I realize the masters are gone and the DVD quality is the best we ever get.

Still if it is bad quality I will forget Blu-Ray and see if I can hunt down some DVD's that play in my region player.

Best to Google reviews for the German TMNT blu-rays and see what the issues are exactly.

Pffft... Just because a blue ray can hold more episodes on it, doesn't mean the developers would do it. All they ever do is transfer the same DVD to bluray and call it a day, same as they did with VHS to DVD... Off the top of my head, I think I can only name the Michael Jordan DVD as being a major media DVD release that combined a bunch of VHS releases to the same disc.

They really should put at least Season 1 on Blu-ray. It had the best animation.

I think you could fit more content on a blu-ray disc than just five episodes.

Not necessarily true. Obviously they're limited by what they can work with but if they have the masters it's possible to deliver a good presentation. What Disney have done with Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers has been amazing.
