Another question

This show was a hit correct? So why did season 8, 9 & 10 all only have 8 new episodes? Seems fans of the series got ripped off.

reply

Lack of money or air time at this point, take your pick.

It was a smash hit for 5 years then started fading... The TV companies just ordered a handful of episodes, got their syndication bit and then cancelled it when the ratings dropped leaving them to just make money off rerunning the old episodes.

I asked because I was 14 in 87 when they premiered and I had pretty much stopped watching cartoons all except for re-runs of Transformers which is my favorite. I heard of the hoopla with TMNT but never really got into it or checked it out. I think I might've caught a few episodes but it didn't interest me. Recently I would like to go back and check it out though just to see what I missed. So that's where my questions come from after researching the seasons and noticing the small amount of episodes during those last seasons. I just remember the kids younger then I was were nuts for them like my age group was nuts for Transformers.

Well, no one can make the choice for you... It's up to you if you wanna see a few episodes or watch the entire thing. No one can predict your own reaction and feelings toward it.

Plus 8, 9 and 10 where probably not created with them being 3 seperate seasons in mind. It was just that they got made, but was milked by the studios to release at different times for higher ratings rather then drop them out all at once. It's all television politics where they don't care about anything but ratings and what's the best way to get them.

As far as I'm aware each of those seasons was made separately. David Wise unfortunately was not involved with the last, neither was Rob Paulsen.
