Are there two versions?

I LOVE this movie. Definite cult classic among my friends. The plot summary here on IMDB says that Beth, Jill, and Scott hire Cherry to kill Terra, but in the movie that I own, that's not what happened at all. They hire Cherry to cover up the principal's murder and Cherry kills Terra for her own reasons. Did IMDB just get it wrong?
