Eddie Murphy seems to be channeling Jif from Bowfinger for his title role in Norbit. Also a funny movie, though not on Bowfingers level.

It's just a shame that Norbit sucked incredibly crap ass.
Eddie Murphy is dead to me now :/

I saw Norbit it was OK, I wasn't blown away by it but I didn't think it sucked as much as people said.

I thought Norbit kinda sucked too. But, I also thought that about Bowfinger the first time I saw it. Now, after seeing many times, it's one of my favorite comedies. Perhaps Norbit will be the same way. (but I doubt it)

No norbit isn't even close to bowfinger. Bowfinger is one of the greatest comedies I've ever seen. In every scene I laugh my ass off.

You're dead to me now gregor-cz, Eddie murphy is a legendary comic actor(also serious, if you watch Dreamgirls, and 48 hrs)---one of the best comedians ever.

Actually I think Eddie Murphy seems to be channeling his original performance from Jiff in Bowfinger before Frank Oz told him to tone it down a bit because he was being too geeky. I liked Norbit but I couldn't stand Eddie's performance as Norbit...it got on my nerves because he was hamming it up so much it was a little overdone.

I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.
