It means nothing. He has a paranoid personality and thinks everyone is out to get him. He's looking for problems where there are no problems. It's all crazy talk.

kit said the letter K appeared 1,458 times. 1,458 is a divisible by 3.

1,458 divided by 3 is 486. as in 486 KKK's.

he thought it was a subliminal message that was meant to discriminate against his black race. but it was just a coincidence and he took very personally lol

There's nothing sigificant about "486". It just when Kit divides the number of K's in the script by 3, KKK "appears" in the script 486 times. Obviously, Kit sees this as if the white film makers are out to get him.

In any case, that's a lot of K's for a script... maybe he was onto something :)

It's a joke playing on the charcater Kit's paranoia in particular, and the paranoia, or distrust, that is common in many black Americans in general. That and the whole thing about "Shakespeare" and saving the good roles for white actors, and Kit and his buddy talking about the "covert" racism (-Did you hear what he's doing? - Yeah. Yeah. He's doing something. I just can't put my finger on it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What's he doing? -Shakespeare, Freddy. Shakespeare! "Shake-a-spear. Spear-chucker.") really play off of the notion that some black people have that everything is always stacked against them or meant to secretly insult them, and those who look for hidden racism everywhere. They are combinging that racial paranoia with this eccentric movie star's own extreme paranoia about everything.

Well put GW. FYI to the earliest poster - you know exactly d*** about the KKK. It began as a vigilante police force soon after the Civil War with the sole purpose of eradicating thieves, murderers and (worst of all) carpetbaggers. Later on though, the white garb was abused and anyone with a crime to commit simply donned a white hat, consequently bringing about an ill but undeserved reputation for the force. The KKK disbanded around the turn of the century. In the 1930's, however, Nazis in America used the KKK's discreet nature of operations to hide its members identities. This time period leading up the war is when the new KKK became known as a racist bunch of lynchers and psychotic murderers.
Do some research before you make a statement so that you do not have to appear wanting for intelligence.
