Who knows anything about the real incident?
Apparently Mary Pickford was covertly filmed by a Russian director in 1927?

I think the information is inaccurate. I'm pretty sure the film in question is "Potseluy Meri Pikford" ("A Kiss From Mary Pickford"). On this movie it says in Wikipedia: "The film, starring Igor Ilyinsky, is mostly known today because of a cameo by the popular film couple Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. The footage of the couple was shot during their visit to the USSR, with the couple knowingly participating as a gesture towards the Russian film industry."
I don't feel certain enough about this to submit a correction to imdb, however. It could be another movie entirely, although in my mind, it sounds unlikely.
