Barry Gibb once proposed to play the lead in a movie?

I don't know if it were true but that would be awesome! Even better would be Jimmy Falone playing Barry Gibb playing Ulysses! A whole movie structured like that would be a dream to me.

Kurt Russell in his "The Thing" days would have been good. The Barry Gibb thing is surely a joke though.
