The Most 'Awesomest' cartoons you saw as a child

Sorry, I had to to spell that wrong because it seemed funnier (and cooler!), but what are the best cartoons you saw as a kid.

My picks:

This one of course.
Mysterious Cities Of Gold
Pole Position
Dungeons & Dragons
Inspector Gadget
Danger Mouse
The Dreamstone
The Raccoons

Ulisse 31 was probably my favorite cartoon when I was a child. I am rewatching the episodes on youtube now, lol! The theme song sounds just as cool (if not cooler) now as it did back then.

I loved Dungeons and Dragons too, Inspector Gadget, The Raccoons, Thundercats, He-Man, Transformers, La Abejita Maya (Maya the Bee), Jose Miel (Hutch the Bee, uber tragic toon), The Adventures of Gigi, Voltron (the lions, I hated the ships version)

yes, i'd 2nd that

mysterious cities for gold
battle of the planets [i feel asleep recently when i re-watched them 30 years later lol]
Ulysses 31
thundercats
Godzilla
transformers
Mr.Ben
Bod
willow the wisp
thomas the tank engine
bannaman
dogtanian and the 3 muskahounds
jimbo and the jet set
roobarb and custard

Those are some good picks - I'd throw in Thundercats too... But Ulysses has them all beat (just).

80 Days Around the World was a fav of mine back in the 80s. Loved Dogtanian too! Also loved Jaimie and the Magic Torch!

Of the ones I grew up with, the most profoundly affecting (and "awesomest" IMO) were:

'Robotech' (particularly the first 'Macross' part)
'Star Blazers' (aka 'Space Battleship Yamato')
'Ulysses 31'
'Astro Boy' (1980's version)
'Mysterious Cities of Gold'
'Star Wars: Droids'
'Transformers'
'Voltron'

All but the last two actually hold up wonderfully today and I still love them (TF and Voltron are wonderfully nostalgic but - TF especially - are pretty shallow and poor through adult eyes! :( 'TF: The Movie', though, still rocks! :D ).

I also grew up with:

'Mighty Orbots'
'Centurions'
'Danger Mouse'
'Silverhawks'
'Flash Gordon' (cartoon)
'Defenders of the Earth'
'Thundercats'
'Inspector Gadget'
'Spartacus and the Sun Beneath The Sea'

Which were still cool, but didn't make my lost of "most awesomest" though.

Honorable mention to:

'Robostory'

... which I remembered LOVING as a kid but would have to see again to see if it still held up now (best I could find were scratchy old VHS copies on YouTube of a few eps, that I haven't had chance to watch yet).
