In one episode a young detective solves a case where the killer hid one of his victims head under his shirt (he was killing people in the house) caused by his girlfriend committing suicide?

Yep that's this show. The Case your thinking of is The Mountain Villa Murder (English) / Mountain Villa Bandaged Man Murder Case (Japanese).
