DVD releases?

I know there is a compilation of material available, but has a complete re-issue of the series been considered? I believe there is a market for it.

No, I don't believe there is a DVD compilation available (of the complete series). But I'm with you! I'd buy it in a New York minute! However, for lots of Dave Allen VHS tapes (and some DVDs!), check out Ebay. These things are out there! Also, check British import stores. For instance, the one in Santa Monica, California carries Allen's VHS tapes. Such a sorry loss. Oh, I will miss my Irish lad!

Well, there were rumors that Dave Allen At Large would be released on DVD sometime following Dave's death, but it's been over 4 years now. I'd love it if the BBC & Dave's estate would release some good quality season sets.

The one or two compilations on DVD is probably all that there ever will be.

It was his instruction that his shows not be repeated more than once or sold in consumer format. This was done because he did not want his comedic efforts staying around to stifle future comedians.

That is at least what I had read from one of his documented interviews.
