of Kron, and Carnotaurs and T-rex

of Kron, why doesnt he care about the dinosaurs left behind and why would he make the dinosaurs climb the rockslide, that was too sheer of a drop!!!!! he wouldnt listen to any one else

also what if KRon got too injured when the herd was moving, would the herd stop for him? I never thought of that till today.

also why didnt they have T-rexs, why carnotaurs instead?

also for hte carnotaurs in the halfway pt when they saw the herd's tracks when the raptors were scared away, how far away do you think they were from the herd, and how far were they when Kron woke the herd up to move them out, as the sky wasnt fully white when the herd left and it was night when the carnotaurs were were the herd was when they were drinking out of the lake. What was the carnotaur thinking when its head was up as it looked at the thunder.

Maybe they felt T-Rexes were too cliche.

Carnotaurus happened to be discovered just as the film was in development. Tyrannosaurus was considered too 'cliche' for a Dinosaur film. Carnotaurus was not really given more spotlight, so Dinosaur took upon this.

Furthermore, I think it's hard to contradict Kron's own logic of social darwinism, but the most solid answer I could suggest to you is that Kron would try to avoid being injured since he is the herd Alpha.

In thirst for food (Carnotaurs would probably eat more often because they are lightly build - but still powerful therapods), I would figure the carnotaurs at most were probably 5-6 hours behind the herd thus dusk becomes darkness at night. Could be anytime longer considering how Aladar had to retrace the footsteps through the cave to then get around to the alternative route to the Nesting ground.

Hope this answers a few questions - re-watched this film recently after over a decade of forgetting about it. All the nostalgia floods back instantly. You can't be too cynical in any film, especially where the critics crack this film open where it's not required when it's aimed for children mostly. Doesn't stop adults enjoying it too.
