This is an amazing film, that is being referred to as "another Disney film", or "lackluster". The truth is, it's a beautiful film with beautiful animation, a stellar voice cast and a spectacular soundtrack. True enough, it is not for the 6 and under crew, but it's about dinosaurs. You expect another Land Before Time, which was bland and lackluster, a kiddified borefest. If your kids can't handle violence, rent them that. But if they can handle Jurassic Park but still like disney, this is it.

Okay I agree there was good animation but there was nothing spectacular about it. The storyline wasn't exactly original either. It's the Land Before Time (which I love) only CG.

Next person to say Pirates of the Caribbean isn't Disney gets a slap

Well, the movie was ok at best. There wasn't anything real special about, it was just ok. But, if there was one thing that, IMHO, carried the film, it was James Newton Howard's score. One of the most beautiful and athletic scores ever written for a Disney feature, IMO.

I enjoyed it. I had heard a lot of people didn't enjoy it, so I watched the movie with low expectations and thought it was alright. It definitely doesn't win any points for plot/character originality, but it was a gorgeous film to look at. I think that reason more than any other, that I could get lost in this beautiful world, helped me enjoy this otherwise average movie more than I would have.

I agree. Although DINOSAUR is hampered by some flaws, it is a beautiful film, with some spectacular scenes, great animation, marvellous music and actually some nice characterizations. While the movie struggle to find its tone, it's still a nice movie.

I thought the visual effects were pretty cool, but the story and characters were rather bland.

I agree. This is one of my grandaughter's favourite movies. I enjoy watching it with her too.
