Theresienstadt

After Felice's capture, Lilly goes too see her at Theresienstadt, then Felice gets transferred to Bergen-Belsen. What happened there? It was the question Lilly was asking Ilse at the end of the movie that made me think. Was Lilly the blame?

Felice probably died in one of those Death marchs.
I believe some of Felice's fiends thought Lily was to blame for her being transferred, since she went looking for her in the camp she was.

Erica Fischer's book supplies more info regarding this subject, it's been some time since I last read it, I may be writing something inaccurate for that reason.

Thanks Wilde, since you mentioned the clothing issue I was confused also. With that I have no idea how they knew.

It is indeed much clearer in the book. Basically Felice was arrested and held at a sort of prison inside Berlin. Lily went to see her there a few times. Afterwards she was transfered to Terezin, and Lily decided to go and see her there which was completely insane. We are talking about a trip out of germany (she managed to get passes to get there) going to an actual concentration camp. In the book you find letters sent by Felice written in Terezin that show that a closer watch had been put on her and most certainly favored her being transfered out of Terezin to a much harsher place. Terezin was one of the "lighter" facilities, being mostly a place to stock people as opposed to some other famous camps of pure extermination and harsh labor in extreme conditions. In the book you also find out that Lily's little trip caused her trouble back in Berlin she got interviewed by the gestapo and watched very closely (what saved her was the counterbalance of being a "good german mother of 4")
