I thought this was a great series and a good continuation of the series from the 1980s. I hope they bring this series to DVD.

it's being released tomorry, but i got excited and thot it was the '84-'87 series....DOH!

all 26 eps will be included in the 4-disc dvd, but is it as good as the '80's series? sniff, why would they release this one first?

Does anyone know if they are going to release the 80's series on DVD? I bought this one thinking it was the 80's version. I miss his original cop buddy and I like the other Velda. Please let me know, I used to watch this show every week.

I too want all 46 episodes of 1984-87. Though as a start, they just released the 2 pilots from 1983 on DVD today. But still 46 more to go. Please release these. So strange that they would release these last.... if ever.

Maybe there's a rights issue. Seems some TV series have very complex licensing. I don't mind having the 97-98 series on DVD because I'm a Shannon Whirry fan, but I agree the show does scream "low budget" compared to the original.

Yeah, I just picked it up from Half-Price Books. $15.00, produced by the little-known Tango DVD.

i too hope they bring the 80's series to dvd.
i bought the 90's series thinking it was theearlier one and though i have enjoyed it i would definelty love to see the 80's.
