Perhaps it was the role. After all, I didn't find her as appealing when she was that thing in the sea. Her character had the sexy deep voice, and all that hot makeup. All I know is whenever she was on screen I couldn't take my eyes off her.

Don't worry, you are definately not the only one. In my opinion her part was the best in the whole movie - the most complicated and the most touching one. And she was great in her part:) I've watched the movie about 8 or 9 times till now and I think her performance is one of the main reasons for that:)
shareHer performance is THE BEST in the whole movie! Miranda touches Mab with talent, skill, love and confidence! I read that she said she wanted Mab's voice 2 have sum kind of magical and underground quality 2 it. It scared muy friends cos they weren't used 2 it which is a shame.
shareyeah i love her performance too...its creepy yet very sexy at the same time and I like that. She's evil and twisted, but that is what makes her really intriguing. Miranda does an excellent job!
shareYeah, I read something like that too - when they offered her the part and she read the script, she said "I'll whisper". Not everyone liked the idea at first, because Mab was supposed to have strong and powerfull voice. But when Miranda did some scenes with that magical whisper it became clear that it's the only proper way to be done:)

are you guys serious? her voice and her acting ruined the whole movie. that has to be one of the worst performances on film. the other acting was good and pretty much the whole movie was good but she brought the film down. i would have liked to hit her with a very large truck going a very fast speed. you think that voice is sexy? you guys are crack or something

"That thing in the sea" wasn't supposed to be sexy. -shrug- I guess I've read way too many Arthurian fictions to see her as anything other than pure, innocent and virginal, vs. her twin sister, who is supposed to be anything BUT all of that.
