Finkbinder

Wierd, but true...T.G. Finkbinder who plays the redeemer in this movie is currently my 10th grade english teacher. Though you'd probably think he wouldn't be very good, having starred in a B-horror movie, he is currently one of best english teachers in our county (in my opinion), and runs the magnet program at our school. Again, wierd as hell, but true.

He's my 10th grade English teacher too! Lol, this is probably another person from APEX who just had to see if the rumors were true about Mr. Finkbinder. :)

reply

How'd you know :)

reply

Have you guys seen the movie yet? (I haven't.)

reply

i didnt know others knew about this site (this is the fox)

i wanna see this movie

reply

Hi, Fox. This is yet another APEXer who has found this site. There's an interview of Mr Finkbinder online about his role in the movie. Have you read it?

reply

We'll he's difinitely a good speaker. I love the scene where he is preaching & it shows each of the victims' high school pictures as he's preaching. That part just worked out perfectly. It's one of my favorite old horror movies.

Don't wander into abandoned churches for Czakyr will grab you from underneath the watery grave.

I have just a brilliant idea, all us IMDB message board posters will meet by Ms. Roleau's room on the first day of school, and throw a big party for this 70's slasher flick, all in honor of Mr. Finkbinder. RSVP as soon as possible to inform me if you will be in attendence for our little get together! Oh my god, i am jumping out of my socks due to this overwheling excitement!

I know it's a bit late, but maybe someone from next year will read this.

Finky has been known to show the video at the end of the year if A) the class is pretty cool (ie he doesn't think he'll get in trouble for it) and B) there's absolutely nothing left to do. As in "exhausted all the period-killing theatre games" nothing-left-to-do.

Or at least he used to in my day.

I actually ordered the video online and that's how we got to see it - I think his copy's starting to wear out.

Also, this movie is on DVD now - look in the "budget" bin of a grocery store (at the time I post this, the Giant on the corner of the Rockville Pike and Randolph Road has a few copies left). It's on a double bill with "Carnage" and is listed as "Class Reunion Massacre"

It's funny. I have actually performed an email interview for an old website. (It's still up in domain only)I instantly fell in love with the movie...I just had to find out more. Finally, I tracked down his email address and the rest is history. A wonderful, intelligent person who gets a small kick from his little stint in the horror movie biz. You can fin the interview on:

www.ultimate-horror.com/slashers
The interview is the one that was on our old site. I donated it to this site because the owner/webmaster is a good friend of mine. ENJOY!
