Hello!

I was renting the first floor of a house. I'd rented the movie the night the people upstairs had a massive keg party. I went up for a bit, and when I came back in, I didn't lock my front door...it usually wasn't necessary.

I woke up later that night, the party still going on, to the smell of cigarette smoke in my house.

"WTF?" thought I.

I went to investigate, and saw that someone had smoked a cigarette, left the pack of smokes, and ejected the movie from my VCR - and taken it!

I went back upstairs, furious, but couldn't find it. Ultimately, since the people upstairs made money from the party (they were charging for the keg), I demanded they pay the replacement cost of the video. And when the video store got a new copy in (on DVD), they let me borrow it for free!

So...my subject line may have been a bit misleading...but that's my story.
