who was arguing about that??

Its become a discussion since it seems to be left off of most DCOM internet listings....however it was A DCOM, I remember when the movie was new and came out, I remember the commercial, and I rememeber how it played reruns constantly once it came out like all DCOM...

One problem. That's according to someone else's web site. Disney must not consider it a DCOM since they don't list it as one (http://tv.disney.go.com/disneychannel/originalmovies/index.html).

Despite the fact that this thread is a couple of years old I see a problem with the link posted by raymondc but it doesn't list Brink, Horse Sense, Jumping Ship, or even the first Cheetah Girls movie (just to name a few or I'd be here all day) which were all made for Disney Channel and were promoted as Disney Channel Original Movies. I remember watching this and the other movies (particularly anything starring the Lawrence brothers) on Disney Channel and was extremely annoyed when they started referring to them as DCOMs (ugh, it bothered me to even write that). Not many kids these days remember these movies that's why they aren't on that list.

That doesn't make any sense. Why would they list sequels like Z3, or Johnny Kapahala, but not the originals then?

It's obviously a problem that has to do with legal issues. That's why the rest of the Disney Channel Original Movies aren't listed.

if you check the company credits for the movie on imdb, you will see Disney Channel is not listed anywhere as a company involved with this movie.

Therefore, NOT A DCOM.

Check proper resources when doing research people.

It is a DCOM, when it came on Disney, Disney said it was a DCOM, so thus is is a DCOM, case closed.
