Widescreen version available?

I just watched this lovely film last night from a DVD that I found at my
local supermarket. It was fullscreen (1.33:1).

The ending credits said it was filmed in Panavision (2.35:1). Although the
IMDB says that it was a made-for-television film, with the language in it, it
seemed more like a small independent film.

Does anyone have and/or know if there is a widescreen version available?

The "technical specs" section of IMDB is no help answering these questions.
