two movies titles

has anyone else noticed that Ferngully and Ferngully 2 are like the only movie and sequel that both have extended titles?

Ferngully:
The Last Rainforest

Ferngully 2:
The Magical Rescue

usually it's only the sequel that has it. i don't really know what meaning this holds, but it's just an observation. feel free to comment and threorize!

not true

Lord of the Rings: All of them

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (or whatever that was..)--sequal is in the works from what I hear

Chronicals of Narnia: LLW (Prince Caspian should be on it's way soon..)

Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (sequal out soon)

Fern Gully is not the only one by far. I'm sure there are plenty others....

Not to mention the 10 sequals to Land Before Time. though the first one did not have an extended title I give you that.

But LOTR, Master and Commander, Chronicals of Narnia and Pirates all do. And we are at least garaunteed a sequal for Pirates, so that's at least two franchises right there: Pirates and LOTR. I'm sure Master & Commander and Chronicals will have sequals. At least Chronicals...

Ferngully although, was not created as a franchise.

It was a movie to kinda inform people of activism, and instill morals into children.

O_o.

All the others you have mentioned were either written with having a sequal in mind, or already pieces of series (IE: LOTR, Narnia).

Except Master and Commander. No comment on that. Don't know the history.
