This tore out my heart and laughed while I bled to death

However, I did find it funny, if only to pick out the military inaccuracies, such as the fact that Ernest didn't need to go to boot camp, or y'know, adhere to Army regulation.

It was a good natured film, I guess, I did laugh a few times, even if they were laughs of disbelief and horror.

THERE WERE 10 ERNEST MOVIES IN TOTAL!!!! WHAT THE HELL!???? WHO IS THE CRAZY HOLLYWOOD PRODUCERS THAT ALLOWED THIS TO CONTINUE SINCE MOVIE NUMBER 1????!!!!

I know it has been ten years, but could you briefly share your thoughts on Ernest Rides Again? I have yet to see Africa or Army, but Rides Again is my least favorite.

Jim Varney was pure comedic genius. I loved his Earnest character.

However..........

It's imperative to remember that during the filming of "Ernest in the Army" he was also undergoing chemotherapy for lung cancer. Think that, perhaps, MAYBE, this had something to do with the poor overall production of this flick??

He was great, and I miss him. Definitely died way too soon.

I didn't know he had cancer that long. I know he was a chain smoker, but did he at least quit when he got cancer? I'm guessing not, but he could have and still have died.

Lets put a SMILE on that face!

Geez....
I LIKE Jim (not a huge fan, I thought he was best when he was making all those commercials,) but this, to me is just another Ernest movie. Just like most Elvis movies are the same, or most Cheech & CHong Movies are the same. Ya either like 'em or ya don't!

Trust me,
